Chotiari Dam is an artificial water reservoir located 35 km a ways from the Sanghar town in Sanghar District, Sindh, Pakistan. It was built in December 2002, at the complete rate of Rs 6 billion. The most critical motive of constructing this dam is to discharge saline water of the Left Bank Outfall Drain (LBOD). The dam is prolonged to 24,three hundred acres (nine,800 ha) with storage capability of 750,000 acres (3 hundred,000 ha) feet.
Before the construction of the reservoir, this website end up home to 3 herbal lakes, fed with the aid of tributaries of the Nara Canal. It is also a wetland and habitat for birds, reptiles and small mammals. Now the surroundings and vegetation and fauna of this location is badly laid low with the saline water discharge of Left Bank Outfall Drain (LBOD).
