Simly Dam Lake

Simly Dam is an eighty meters (260 toes) high earthen embankment dam on the Soan River, 30 kilometers (19 mi) east of Islamabad and Rawalpindi in Rawalpindi District, Punjab, Pakistan. It is the largest reservoir of consuming water to human beings dwelling in Islamabad, the capital of Pakistan. The water stored on this dam is fed by way of the melting snow & natural springs of Murree hills. It was developed by the Capital Development Authority. Planning for the dam started out in 1962 and it become now not finished whilst predicted in 1972 due to assignment delays. It turned into finished in 1983.
